The American Sephardi Federation is proud to support the study of Jewish-Moroccan culture with our friends and partner جمعية ميمونة Association Mimouna. The ASF-Mimouna David Levy Yulee Scholarship, announced at the 20th New York Sephardic Jewish Film Festival, launched at Mimonua’s 3rd Edition of the Moroccan Jewish University this year as part of the world-renowned Festival des Andalousies Atlantiques at Essaouira, Morocco.
David Levy Yulee, the first American of Jewish heritage elected to serve in the U.S. Senate, was actually of Jewish Moroccan origins from the city of Essaouira.

“With the support of the American Sephardi Federation, Association Mimouna is launching the David Levy Yulee scholarship for young researchers.
Selected students would be offered this scholarship to conduct a research in the field of Jewish-Moroccan culture.
ASF has supported Moroccan students to participate in the third edition of the Moroccan Jewish University.”
