The Merchant of Venice

EventTheater
Wednesday, January 13 at 8:00 pm — At The Center for Jewish History

Back by popular demand, David Serero’s Sephardi adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic play on love, bigotry, and commerce, The Merchant of Venice.

“This condensation has more spirit and verve than many of the longer interpretations that I have seen in recent years….Serero, and the entire cast, deserve kudos for this fresh interpretation. With the addition of pianist Noriko Sunamoto on stage, this is a Merchant that sings in a Sephardic key but can speak to everybody.”
