Singer Ema Shah Featured in al-Hasela TV
Kuwaiti news website al-Hasela published a clip of the impromptu duet between Algerian-French Jewish superstar Enrico Macias and Kuwaiti singer and human rights activist Ema Shah performing before a sold out Center for Jewish History during Opening Night of The American Sephardi Federation’s 20th New York Sephardic Jewish Film Festival. Ema invited the Maestro to join her stage-side as she sang Enrico’s classic “Oh, Guitar.”
Opening Night was dedicated to the Moroccan tradition of tolerance and inclusion in honor of ASF Pomegranate Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient Mr. André Azoulay, Councillor to His Majesty the King, Mohammed VI, King of Morocco.
Ambassadors, consul generals, and representatives from Cape Verde, Cyprus, France, Greece, Israel, Mexico, Morocco, Nicaragua, Portugal, and Spain, as well as Sephardic leaders from throughout North America were in attendance.
Our generous sponsors for this magical evening were Royal Air Maroc, Pomegranate Gallery/Oded Halahmy Foundation for the Arts, Inc., Tourism in Morocco, and The Slovin Foundation.
