Sephardim were driven—sometimes by choice, too frequently by force—to transcend borders and barriers. The following rare books and artifacts, from the collection of The American Sephardi Federation, reflect a rich scholarly tradition and invite reflection upon the physical, emotional, and spiritual journeys of Jewish history. Originally on display in The Center for Jewish History’s David Berg Rare Book Room from April to June 2015, Sephardic Journeys is now permanent view as part of the Google Cultural Institute.
